United Performing Arts Fund to launch annual campaign in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A return to normalcy for wrestling fans means a return of the WWE to a live audience in Milwaukee.
A WWE Supershow is coming to Fiserv Forum on July 31, and the champion, Drew McIntyre, is happy to be back in the ring.
"At the start of the pandemic, I would go drive for like 2-3 hours at a time randomly," McIntyre said. "My wife would say 'what are you doing?' I was like so used to being on the road I didn't know what to do with myself."
McIntyre, like so many others, found himself with a lot of time on his hands over the last year, and he tells CBS 58's Kevin Holden that in some ways, the break was good.
"As much as I've enjoyed this period and learned a lot about myself, learned a lot of positives, I'm so excited to get back on the road, I was born to be on the road. There's nothing like our live fans with WWE and buzzing is not the word, like I cannot freakin' wait."
McIntyre will be at Fiserv Forum for the July 31 Supershow.
Tickets go on sale June 11.
