Suspect in custody after fatal shooting near 16th and Rogers; victim identified

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 50-year-old man died after being shot Thursday, Nov. 13, near 16th and Rogers, according to Milwaukee Police.

The shooting happened at around 7:20 p.m. The victim succumbed to his injuries, police say.

The family of the victim has identified him as 50-year-old Miguel Roman Arocho. The family told CBS 58 that the victim got into an argument with his son, who then shot him. 

Milwaukee police have a suspect in custody and will be referring the case to the District Attorney's Office for charges.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- One person is dead after a shooting earlier Thursday, Nov. 13, on Milwaukee's south side near 16th and Rogers. 

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed the death to CBS 58.

At this point it's not clear the circumstances leading up to the shooting or if any arrests have been made. CBS 58 reached out to the Milwaukee Police Department for more information.
