$20K bond set for man accused of trafficking UW-Milwaukee student

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 22-year-old man accused of trafficking a UW-Milwaukee student made his first court appearance Wednesday, May 27.

Briar Maier was taken into custody in Jefferson County May 1, after a warrant was issued for his arrest. 

Prosecutors say he arranged meetups with men over the course of several months, and made the victim perform sex acts for money. 

In Milwaukee County court Wednesday, Maier's bond was set at $20,000. 

A preliminary hearing is set for June 4.
