64-year-old dead in 2-vehicle crash in Dodge County

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Dodge County deputies are investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision that happened earlier today, Oct. 17 at the intersection of County Highway I and County Highway E in the town of Burnett. 

The initial investigation shows a 64-year-old woman from Janesville driving a Chevy Blazer entering the intersection going north on County Highway I, approaching County Highway E, when it was struck by a Sterling Dump truck being driven by a 66-year-old man from Randolph going west.  

County Highway E has the right-of-way and County Highway I has posted stop signs. Officers are trying to determine if the Blazer stopped at the stop sign or not. 

The 64-year-old suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 66-year-old sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. 

The names involved are being withheld at this time as law enforcement notifies family. 

The crash is under investigation.
