MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Election Commission certified seven candidates in the race for mayor.
Ieshuh Griffin is the newest person to be on next month's ballot.
She submitted more than 1,500 signatures earlier this month, but dozens of them were not accepted.
Griffin corrected many of those signatures, which was enough to put her on the ballot.
"She's provided accurate corrections to the electors' addresses in her affidavit," said Milwaukee Election Commission Executive Director Claire Woodall-Vogg. "All addresses have been verified to be in the city of Milwaukee."
The top two candidates in next month's primary will face off in the special election on April 5.
