Ahead of 1st debate, Biden for President Wisconsin hosting virtual watch party

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Ahead of first of three general election presidential debate Tuesday night, Sept. 29, Biden for President Wisconsin will host a virtual watch party headlined by Gov. Tony Evers, Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes, Attorney General Josh Kaul, State Treasurer Sarah Godlewski and featuring a pre-recorded video message from Pete and Chasten Buttigieg.

A news release from Biden for President Wisconsin says, at the event, participants will show their support for Joe Biden as he prepares to take the debate stage. They will also discuss what’s at stake in this election, particularly in regards to protecting health care coverage for individuals with pre-existing conditions and ensuring all Americans have access to affordable health care. 

The event begins at 7:30 p.m. Members of the public who wish to attend can RSVP HERE.

The presidential debate will start at 9 p.m.
