MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Candidates for Senate are making their last stops on the campaign trail as the race tightens this week.
On Tuesday, Democratic US Senator Tammy Baldwin continued her Forward bus tour, visiting Beloit in the morning and Sturtevant in the afternoon. She was there visiting Apple Holler, talking with workers and pushing policies that she says will help keep jobs here in the US.
"I always stand up. We're passing the bipartisan infrastructure bill - does it have Buy America rules? Are they permanent? Guess what? I got them in there, and they're permanent," Sen. Baldwin said.
Meanwhile, Hovde was in Milwaukee Tuesday where he spoke on the use of ballot drop boxes in the election.
"Let's be clear, we never had drop boxes in an election before the pandemic, right?" Hovde said. "I think we have to build confidence across the board for everybody in the voting process."
According to the latest polling, both candidates are within the margin of error. Emerson has the two candidates at a tie, while USA Today has Sen. Baldwin up two points. Insider Advantage has Hovde up one.
