Bay View bar hosts Vanderpump Rules watch parties
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Bay View bar is taking an untraditional approach to watch parties.
Typically, people come in to watch the Milwaukee Bucks or the Green Bay Packers, but with both teams out of season, Mothership Bar gave patrons something else to visit for.
"Essentially, when the Bucks got knocked out, we were all like sobbing here for a week, but after kind of thinking about Vanderpump Rules and how bad I wanted to watch it with a bunch of people, that's kind of what birthed the idea here," bartender Jenneca Younger said.
Mothership Bar first hosted the party for the season 10 finale.
"It's kind of like our Super Bowl and it's like our Bucks Championship because this is such like an anomaly to have anything played like this in a bar," Younger said.
A big night for reality TV lovers. Local bars are hosting watch parties for the final Vanderpump Rules reunion episode of the season. The bartender at Mothership tells me it helps make up for the loss in business after the Bucks lost early in the playoffs. @CBS58pic.twitter.com/i3fgWxkrSF

Upon realizing it was a success, they continued to host parties for the three-part reunion.
"People are booing, people are laughing, people are cheering together," Younger said.
The latest "Scandoval" episodes topped series highs with more than three million viewers, according to Variety Magazine.
"When a scandal like this cheating fiasco happens, people are like coming out of the woodwork, just like I did," Younger said.
Wednesday was the fourth and final watch party of the season.
"It's fun to be around people who actually know what you're talking about," Lindsey Folsom said.
Folsom told CBS 58 it was highly anticipated for fans as they hope to get clarity on this season's drama.
"I think that's something where people can relate to it and if they can't relate to it, they can relate to just how bad it would feel," Folsom said.
Whether it's sports or reality television on the screen, Younger said Mothership is all about bringing the community together.
"It's definitely helped our business and given us something to look forward to week by week," Younger said.
