Mild and windy most of this week with another big storm system
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Black Arts Fest MKE will return to Milwaukee on Saturday, Aug. 3 from 12 to 10 p.m. The festival, held at the Summerfest grounds, will celebrate African heritage and Black cultural arts.
Anitra Riley, the festival leader, joined us on Thursday, Aug. 1 to preview the event, including the theme of "Doing it for the culture," which showcases diverse music, art, dance, spoken word and more.
This year’s event will feature performances by artists such as Jarvis Redd and James Fortune & FIYA. Attendees can also enjoy the "Divine 9 Party Roll Call," sip and paint sessions and basketball events.
Tickets are available online and at the gate, with special promotions for veterans and the first 100 who sign the festival's Peace Pledge.
