Brewers acquire left-handed pitchers Harrison, Drohan and infielder Hamilton from Red Sox

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Brewers acquired left-handed pitchers Kyle Harrison and Shane Drohan along with infielder David Hamilton from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for infielders Caleb Durbin, Andruw Monasterio and Anthony Seigler along with a 2026 Competitive Balance Round B selection, according to a Monday, Feb. 9 announcement.

Harrison, 24, provides a young left-handed arm to the starting rotation, according to Brewers President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Matt Arnold. He owns a career record of 9-9 with a 4.39 ERA in 42 games with San Francisco and Boston and is under club control through the 2030 season.

Drohan, 27, has recorded 472 career strikeouts in 411.2 innings pitched in the minor leagues.

Hamilton, 28, returns for his second stint in the team after being traded to Boston in 2021. He has made starts at second base and shortstop and has 57 career stolen bases in the majors.

Durbin batted .256 with 11 home runs, 53 RBI and 18 stolen bases in 136 games with Milwaukee last season and finished third in National League Rookie of the Year voting. Monasterio batted .270 with four home runs, 16 RBI and two stolen bases in 68 games last season. Seigler batted .194 with five RBI and two stolen bases in 34 games.
