MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Just weeks before Santa comes to town, members of the Brewers front office are doing their part in spreading Christmas cheer.
Wednesday morning, at American Family Field, staff donated and then wrapped presents for local families in need.
Five-thousand dollars' worth of gifts will be distributed as part of the Brewers' Beyond the Diamond community outreach program.
This initiative highlights the strong connection the Brewers have with their fans, even when they're away from the ballpark.
"We wanna make sure that the kids in our community know that the Brewers are thinking about them when they are at home," said Cecelia Gore, executive director, Brewers Community Foundation. "We want them to be happy and have a joyful holiday with their families."
The gifts will be given to local nonprofits United Community Center and Northcott Neighborhood House.
