Bucks announce sustainability partnership with German-based Wilo Group

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Bucks and Fiserv Forum have announced a new sustainability partnership. Bucks fans will see a new logo on player warm-up jackets and shooting shirts.

As the Bucks team up with their first global sustainability partner, German-based company Wilo, they plan on making Fiserv Forum one of the most sustainable buildings in the world.

"Wilo is contributing to the Bucks and Fiserv Forum sustainability efforts and goals. We want to be the most sustainable district, building, and arena in the world," said Peter Feigin, Bucks and Fiserv Forum president.

While Wilo and the Bucks have lofty goals, the Bucks and Fiserv Forum President Peter Feigin did not elaborate on how those goals will play out or the changes that are coming to Deer District or Fiserv Forum.

They did tell CBS 58 one sustainability initiative is clean-up efforts in our community.

"Working with local communities and cleaning the rivers of Wisconsin, which is something that desperately needs to happen," said Feigin.

Governor Tony Evers says partnerships like these will help the U.S. Climate Alliance's goal of being carbon-free by 2050.

"It is critically important for our state and for our nation to understand that renewable energy is something that has to happen. Connecting this to the Bucks is really good for our efforts to make sure we get there by 2050," said Governor Evers.

The Bucks season will begin in October, and we will be watching to see how they plan to put this into action.
