MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday, Sept. 25 announced a new partnership with German-based Wilo Group, in an effort to make Fiserv Forum the most sustainable building in the world.

According to a news release, the Bucks and Wilo will work jointly on sustainability projects and initiatives. Wilo will also provide the first-ever patch for the warm-up kits, including warm-up jackets and shooting shirts, worn by the Bucks throughout the multi-year deal.

“In line with our overarching, Group-wide sustainability strategy ‘Creating, Caring, Connecting’, it goes without saying that Wilo’s sports sponsorships also have to be sustainable,” said Oliver Hermes, Wilo President & CEO. “We are committing ourselves to creating sustainable technologies and solutions, assuming social responsibility, and investing in strong partnerships worldwide. This is also with the aim of prioritizing a significant expansion of our extremely successful business activities in North and Latin America.”

“Wilo has demonstrated an uncompromised commitment to sustainability on a global scale, from its world headquarters in Dortmund, Germany to its regional base here in Wisconsin,” said Matt Pazaras, Bucks Chief Business Development & Strategy Officer. "We’re excited to welcome Wilo as the Bucks’ first Global Sustainability Partner and first warm-up kit patch partner.”

“This partnership is a clear commitment to our Wisconsin location and the U.S. market,” Plaster said. “By teaming up with the Bucks, we are expanding our business development and visibility in the U.S. and building on our successful region-for-region approach.”
