CBS 58 catches up with 'Say She She' ahead of their Summerfest debut
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Summerfest is known for bringing musicians from around the world to perform on the lakefront. Genres span from rock to rap and everything in between. Now, Say She She will bring their unique disco-delic sound to the Aurora Pavillion.
Piya Malik, Sabrina Mileo Cunningham and Nya Gazelle Brown are the trio you'll hear singing soulful, modern disco sounds on Thursday, July 4.
Say She She takes the stage at 7 p.m.
The band is currently touring the U.S. CBS 58 caught up with them while they had a little break earlier this week.
They're excited to trade tour stage for a festival stage next week.
"When you start playing, sometimes people will hear it from far away and you can draw them in and it's really good to make new fans and new connections," said Nya.
"I actually think that's how we've been lucky enough, between radio and festivals, that's how we've managed to grow a very organic set of music lovers who come to our shows," added Piya.
They're excited to see some familiar faces on the other stages too.
"It's just like a cluster of incredible music all weekend what could be better than that. You know, I think there's some awesome people playing, so hopefully we can check out some of the other incredible acts," said Sabrina. "I think that's always the fun part about playing festivals you get to sneak out and see some other cool bands as well so super pumped ready to play."
