Celebratory send-off held as Washington Park HS boys basketball team heads to state

Racine Unified School District RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A local high school basketball team is headed for state for the first time since 1960.
On Thursday, the Washington Park High School boys basketball team in Racine was sent off with a celebration.
Students and staff held up signs showing their support.
The Racine Police Department also escorted them to the freeway.
Washington Park will take on Cedarburg at the Kohl Center Friday afternoon. Tipoff is at 1:35 p.m.
