After a few cloudy days with scattered rain showers Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and even a bit of drizzle or an isolated shower Wednesday, the end of the work week is nice and dry with sunshine returning. That sunshine doesn't last too long with clouds increasing Friday night and our next rain chance rolling on Saturday.

Most of Saturday morning and even the afternoon looks dry with an increasing chance for showers Saturday evening. Those showers continue off and on through parts of Sunday but probably long dry breaks on Sunday as well.

Going into the weekend rain chance, November is doing just fine on rainfall. Through the first week of the month the rain total of 0.60" is a tenth above average, however our fall months have been very dry and since September 1st we have a rain deficit over 2.50". The year still has a precipitation surplus over 4.50" but most of that surplus happened in the spring and early summer months.

The latest drought update has some good news! last week all of Wisconsin was under a moderate drought, including southeast Wisconsin, with areas of severe drought in northern and southwest Wisconsin. The latest update Thursday morning has removed the moderate drought for a large area of southern Wisconsin including all of Fond du Lac County and most of Dodge County after the rain to begin the week. These areas are shaded yellow and now considered "abnormally dry". The rest of southeast Wisconsin is still under a moderate drought.
