Children's Wisconsin opens new Center for Child Development in Wauwatosa

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Children's Wisconsin has announced the opening of the Center for Child Development in Wauwatosa, with the intent to enhance services for children with developmental diagnoses.

The facility opened its doors on Monday, April 29 and is transitioning from its previous location in Brookfield. The new center at 1250 N. 113th St., Suite 200, and it focuses on a broad spectrum of health services, including developmental and behavioral pediatrics, psychology and therapies such as speech, occupational and physical.

It also provides early childhood mental health care and a dedicated community education room to facilitate community outreach efforts.

Daniel Schulteis, MD, a developmental-behavioral pediatrician, emphasized the center's role in a press release Monday, April 29. "The opening of the new Center for Child Development reflects the strong commitment of Children’s Wisconsin to caring and supporting children and families with neurodiverse abilities," said Schulteis.

He added that the services offered by the Center are now more conveniently integrated into a single space, allowing for improved collaborative care that impacts different needs.
