MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Chill on the Hill has been canceled for Tuesday, June 30 due to extreme heat warnings and high humidity expected at showtime, according to organizers.

"We are expecting a temperature of 97 degrees in the early evening, and the temperature on the cement stage will be significantly hotter than that," said Patty Thompson, executive producer of Chill on the Hill.

"For the safety of our many musicians, volunteers, sound producers and guests, we are opting to cancel the performance of the Milwaukee American Legion Band."

The concert series is scheduled to continue at Humboldt Park on July 7 with Diet Lite and Social Cig starting at 6:30 p.m.
