PEWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Pick 'n Save and Metro Market customers will soon have to wear face coverings inside stores.
The parent company, Kroger, announced Wednesday, July 15, with the increase in COVID-19 cases across the country, they will require all customers in all locations to wear a face mask.
CBS 58 spoke with customers in Waukesha County where there are no other mask mandates.
"At first I was a little bit against it because I wasn’t really sure about how I felt about having to wear a mask and some people aren’t wearing a mask," Pewaukee resident Sherry Scopp said. "But in all honesty, it seems to be if one store is doing it, then another store is doing it, it just a compliancy issue and if it helps us move forward, I'd be with it."
Other customers said they think the mandate is important to keep people safe.
"I recommend for everybody to wear masks because we don’t know who is sick, we don’t know, it’s good for our safety," Waukesha resident Narmin Rasuli said.
Kroger said exceptions will be made for those that may not be able to wear masks like small children.
