MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Mount Pleasant leaders are meeting Monday night, about plans for new data centers.
Microsoft was already approved for a compound in the area and leaders recently also approved the building of 15 new data centers.
The new plans need to be approved by the full Common Council, which meets at 6 p.m.
With the growth of data centers also comes the growth of public confusion over what they really are and how they might impact day-to-day life.
Here to help us answer some of those questions is Dr. Michael Zimmer, director of the Center for Data, Ethics, and Society at Marquette University.
