DMV extends service hours ahead of Wisconsin Spring Election

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Wisconsin’s Division of Motor Vehicles has extended customer service center hours ahead of the Tuesday, April 1 Spring Election, allowing residents additional time to obtain required identification to vote.
DMV offices will remain open until 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. The additional hours are aimed at assisting voters, including those new to the state, in securing a Wisconsin photo ID.
Those seeking an ID must bring documentation such as a birth certificate, proof of identity and Wisconsin residency.
Also, a federally compliant REAL ID card is not required for voting.
DMV offers ID cards for voting purposes at no cost to U.S. citizens. A locator tool and additional information are available on the DMV’s website. Questions can be directed to DMV’s voter ID hotline at (844) 588-1069, or election questions can be answered by visiting the Wisconsin Elections Commission by clicking here.
