MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A new documentary, "Just a Bit Outside: The Story of the 1982 Milwaukee Brewers," will premiere exclusively in Marcus Theatres across Wisconsin beginning Friday, Sept. 13.
The film highlights the Brewers' 1982 season, the only time in franchise history that the team advanced to the World Series, delving into the highs and lows of the season, including the mid-season hiring of manager Harvey Kuehn Jr. and the Brewers' dramatic battle against the Baltimore Orioles to clinch the American League East title.
The film also covers the team’s comeback victory over the California Angels in the American League Championship Series, which led to a celebration at Milwaukee's County Stadium.
Producer Kelly Kahl and director Sean Hanish joined us on Tuesday, Sept. 10 for a preview of the film.
The documentary is set to debut in twelve Marcus Theatres throughout southeastern Wisconsin, as well as in Sheboygan, Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh and Madison. A premiere event at Marcus’ Majestic Theatre in Brookfield is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 11.
