MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Family members of Sade Robinson honored her life on Saturday afternoon. The 19-year-old was killed last month, and family members continue to search for the rest of her remains.

At Wilson Park, community members were invited to eat a meal and share memories of Sade. Pink balloons and party favors covered the area on the day after what would’ve been her 20th birthday. This comes after an emotional memorial service was held for Robinson on Friday, May 10.

“It feels so good to have support from the community," said Arlinda Garza, Sade's cousin. “This is just us celebrating her life, the life that she had.”

Those who couldn’t make it to the searches, showed up in more ways than one.

“Let the family know that they’re not standing alone," said Taquanda Dannia Brown.

Community members donated food, favors, and decor for what would’ve been Sade’s 20th birthday party.

“You kind of help with the healing process of the family. The memories are there, and they have them," said Brown. Brown donated a memorial for the party.

Family members say this celebration is a way to keep going, to keep searching for Sade.

“Memorial service, we had a repast. You know we still don’t have her, so it’s really tough," said Garza.

Garza says she hopes what happened to Sade never happens to another woman.

“Her name is remembered by every boy and that her story will make young girls aware. Women aware, period," said Garza.

That’s why Sade’s family says they’re creating an organization in her honor.

“Sade’s Voice is going to be an organization for missing, colored girls," said Garza.

Garza says Sade deserved to celebrate this birthday and the many after.

“It would be better if we were celebrating her life and her birthday with her," said Garza.
