Franklin police investigating reports of attempted sexual assault along Oak Leaf Trail

FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Franklin police are investigating reports of an attempted assault of a 41-year-old Franklin woman along the Oak Leaf Trail on Thursday, June 11.

The incident happened somewhere between 9:00 p.m. and 9:15 p.m., between West Drexel Avenue, and West Puetz Road.

The suspect is described as being a tan skinned man, approximately 5-foot-10 inches, weighing between 150 and 180 pounds, with a muscular build.

Police say the suspect was dressed in all black with a face mask during the alleged assault and spoke with a deep voice. 

Following the incident, the suspect reportedly took off running northbound towards West Drexel Avenue on the trail.
