MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Members of the community learned how to perform CPR in of all places, a barber shop, on Saturday, Jan. 3.
They got free hands-only CPR training at Gee's Clippers hosted by Froedtert and Medical College of Wisconsin Health Network, along with the Milwaukee Fire Department EMS.
Jasmine Johnikin, a community outreach nurse, says everyone in the community should know how to perform this life saving skill.
"Heart attacks could happen anytime, cardiac arrest could happen at any time, so we want to train people to learn how to jump into action in case they see someone pass out at any time," said Johnikin.
The Gee's MKE Wellness Clinic provides free clinical services every Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
