Horizon League postpones all fall sports
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Horizon League has postponed all fall sports. The league says they will decide if they can play in the spring at a later date.
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Director of Athletics Amanda Braun released the following statement:
"We continue to have to make unprecedented decisions for Milwaukee Athletics and today is no different. As difficult as this decision is, the health and safety of our student-athletes, staff, and our campus community must drive our decisions. It has become clear to the leadership throughout the Horizon League that with the remaining unknowns and uncertainties stemming from the current environment, we cannot allow our student-athletes to compete in the fall season. We will continue to support our student-athletes in all respects – including a focus on their physical and mental health – and look forward watching them compete in the future."
