MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- As the clock struck 12, hundreds of kids and their families celebrated the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026 at the Betty Brinn Children's Museum in downtown Milwaukee - 12 p.m., not a.m., that is, for the museum's annual Noon Year's Eve event which sold out more than 750 tickets this year.

"It's just a fun, family field day here at the museum," said Museum CEO Tina Quealy. "It's our Super Bowl, the most fun day of the year here at Betty Brinn."

Attendees got to dance on the floor below as dozens of blue beach balls rained down on them from above, and confetti was tossed along with apple juice that was toasted with a cheer.

Upstairs, there were arts and crafts and even face-painting stations.

"This is a great event, this is like the second year that we've come, we always get our tickets ahead of time, we have a membership," said Jaleesa Jenkins who drove up from Racine. "Just the ambiance, everyone here is trying to have a good time, there's so many interactive exhibits to go through and the kids learn and that's the biggest thing, like having fun while learning, sign me and my kids up."

Organizers said the event takes months to prepare and it's their most popular event.

"It means that we're providing a place for families to come and learn together, explore, to have fun in the Milwaukee community," Quealy said. "It's really special to us and what we provide here at the museum."

Next year, officials said they hope to keep providing family-friendly fun for all ages and to stay tuned for exciting updates in 2026.
