OZAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A person was taken into custody Thursday, April 17 by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement inside the Ozaukee County Courthouse, according to a statement from the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office.

The subject had appeared in court earlier that day and was approached and detained by ICE agents following the hearing.

The Sheriff’s Office stated it was not involved in the detention, aside from providing a private conference room for ICE to speak with the subject. The subject’s attorney was present during that interaction, and the individual was escorted from the courthouse by ICE.
