Walworth County pursuit ends in deputy colliding with uninvolved vehicle

WALWORTH COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Walworth County Deputy initiated a traffic stop of a motorcycle on Wednesday, Aug 7. 

It happened around 4:45 p.m. near Highway 50 and North Ewards in Lake Geneva. 

The deputy radioed that the motorcyclist had fled the stop and nearly struck him with the motorcycle. 

The deputy initiated a pursuit of a motorcyclist, which proceeded though Lake Geneva and continued onto State Highway 120. 

According to the Walworth County Sheriff's Office, the deputy became involved in a motor collision with another vehicle not involved in the pursuit. 

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene to investigate the collision. 

Lake Geneva police and the Lake Geneva Fire Department responded to the scene to render aid and prevent further injuries, according to authorities. 

The motorcyclist was last seen fleeing northbound from the scene.  The motorcyclist was described as wearing a pink hoodie and backpack. 

No further information is being released at this time, according to authorities.
