MEQUON Wis., (CBS 58) – Little Meadowmere is not a park or lake, but rather the name of an exquisite estate, a 130-year-old property modernized but also rich in Milwaukee history. And now it’s for sale.
In the 1920’s the home played host to a who’s who of Milwaukee high society. The estate was once a small farm that was whittled down to a 7.4 acre property over the years. It once belonged to Harriet Mitchell Young, granddaughter of railroad and banking financier Alexander Mitchell and daughter of U.S. Senator and Postmaster General John Mitchell, as well as brother of famed General William “Billy” Mitchell.
On CBS 58 Sunday Morning, Brittany Lewis toured the one-of-a-kind landmark in Mequon.
