MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Kids from Milwaukee College Prep got to show off some important skills Thursday, Oct. 24.
The local finals of the Amazing Shake Competition took place at Godfrey & Kahn.
Twenty finalists competed to show their manners, respect and professional conduct. The kids have been practicing the skills they say will help them with college interviews and future job opportunities.
"Trust, respect, excellence, courage and knowledge. And from then on out, we use them throughout our whole experience at Milwaukee College Prep," said 8th grader Elijah Taylor. "It really prepares us for the world in the future and future opportunities."
Four winners from Thursday's event will go on to compete against kids from across the country at the Amazing Shake finals in Atlanta, Georgia.
