It has been a very warm start to January! High temperatures have stayed mostly in the upper 30s and low 40s with lows in the 20s and 30s. The average temperature through the first eight days of the year in Milwaukee is 35.0* which is 9.8* above normal. Compare that to a very cold start to the year in 2022 when the average temperature during the first week of January was 5.6* below normal.
Sunday was a bit chilly with highs hovering around 30 with clouds. Thanks to sunshine Monday we should see temps warm fast with afternoon highs around 40. Clouds will roll back in Monday night preventing us from cooling much which will make 40 possible again on Tuesday and Wednesday before some cooling.
If you enjoy the warm temperatures we will probably see them continue for the next couple of weeks. The 8-14 day temperature trend shows a 70-80% chance for above-average temps through January 22nd.
