Milwaukee Ballet presents 'The Nutcracker' with 20 performances

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Ballet is gearing up to stage its production of "The Nutcracker: Drosselmeyer's Imaginarium" from Dec. 6 - 26 at the Marcus Performing Arts Center, featuring over 200 individuals on stage and behind the scenes.

The production includes 16 public performances across three weekends, three student matinees and one sensory-friendly performance, according to Milwaukee Ballet

The ballet made note of first-time casting this season that includes new Leading Artist Jennifer Hackbarth dancing Snow Queen and Marie, third-year Artist Ben Zusi as Fritz and second-year Artist Nanaho Nakajima as Clara.

The student cast consists of 142 children from Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy.

Milwaukee Ballet's Orchestra will perform Tchaikovsky's score at all performances.
