MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – This Valentine’s Day is a particularly sweet one for Kimberly Adams and her husband, Taurus, as the couple won Netflix’s "Is It Cake? Valentines."

“Being on such a huge platform and representing Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was really, really amazing for us,” Kimberly Adams said.

In the competition show, couples created realistic replicas of everyday objects. The owner of Signature Sweets Bakery in Milwaukee specializes in making these cakes. However, musician Taurus Adams says the experience was anything but a piece of cake for him.

“I don’t do cakes, I just play the drums,” Taurus Adams said. “For me to help her out, it was a tedious thing.”

Couples were asked to make cakes inspired by their love stories to try and fool celebrity judges, including Ashlee Simpson, Evan Ross, Casey Wilson and David Caspe. The Adams made a drum to represent their love of music.

“To do a show with my husband, you can’t get any better than that,” Kimberly Adams said.

The married couple of 3 years says they ended up winning $5,000 dollars and an all-expenses-paid honeymoon, something they didn’t get to do with COVID-19 shutdowns.

As the Adams reflect on their time on the show, they say their love was the secret ingredient to success. 

“We really like each other, so, it complimented us, and you could see it on camera," Kimberly Adams said.
