Milwaukee honors 46 at annual Black Excellence Awards

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The best and brightest of Milwaukee's African American community gathered for a special event Friday night.
Forty-six men and women were honored at the 35th annual Black Excellence Awards at the Italian Community Center.
The awards celebrate high achievers in the black community.
The keynote speaker for the event was CBS News Executive Vice President Kimberly Godwin.
She grew up partly in Milwaukee and still has family in the area.
