MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are asking for help identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection to an attempted armed robbery that occurred Friday, March 21.

Police say the suspect attempted to take property from a victim's pockets around 11:40 a.m. near 17th and Rogers. 

The suspect is described as an African American male in his 20s, standing about 5'9", with a slim build. 

He was last seen wearing a black hat, glasses, a black zip-up hoodie, black shirt, black and white striped Adidas joggers, and green shoes. 

Police say he was armed with a black handgun.
