MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Overnight precipitation fell as mostly rain across SE Wisconsin, but some of our more northern areas, like Washington and Fond du Lac counties, did see a blanket of snow.

"I have to get here at 5:15 in the morning, so you know, I worry about big, heavy snowfalls, but this has been manageable. And this year has been pretty amazing," said Mike Smith, as he shoveled the parking lot of his job in Kewaskum Thursday morning.

"Shoveling snow for what seems like the second time this year," said Dan Aspen as he shoveled in front of his auto shop, Roger and Dan's.

Temperatures are still warmer than average and underneath all of that snow was water, making it a tough job. But for 6-year-old Eldora, she's been waiting for this snowfall.

"Because I like to make snow angels," she said.

Her dad, Dan Aspen, has been doing just fine this year without the snow.

"Very mild, but to be honest, I have enough other work to do, it really doesn't bother me," said Aspen.

For areas in south Washington County, like Hubertus, you can even see green grass in many areas, making it feel more like spring than January.
