New COVID-19 vaccination clinic opens Tuesday on Summerfest grounds
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A very familiar Milwaukee landmark will is now another COVID-19 vaccination site.
Starting today, Tuesday March 30, you can go to Summerfest grounds to get your shot.
The vaccinations will be at the Summerfest Guest Services Building at 200 N. Harbor Drive.
The community-wide clinic will offer vaccinations twice a week – by appointment – only.
Starting today, it’ll be open on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and select Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This new clinic is a partnership between Milwaukee World Festival, Inc., Pick ‘n Save and Kroger Health.
“We ask that you arrive, park in Lot A. The signage will tell you how to get over here to the clinic. We ask though that you wait in your car until your scheduled time then come on over and our team will take care of you from there,” Jim Hyland, Roundy’s Supermarkets vice president of communications and public affairs, said.
Roundy’s says this clinic was made possible thanks to the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program.
Before being accepted into the program Hyland estimate Roundy’s-owned pharmacies had only been able to do a few thousand vaccinations across the state.
“Being part of the federal program allows us to get a larger allocation every week and so now we can do up to 6,000 vaccines a week.”
Free parking will be available in Lot A.
