No snow in sight as snow deficit gets larger

NOW: No snow in sight as snow deficit gets larger
NEXT:

December in southeast Wisconsin is typically the third snowiest month on average with over 10" of snow during the month. So far, this December has hardly had any. A few western and northern counties have picked up light snow here and there but officially in Milwaukee we've only had a trace of snow with only snowflakes and flurries reported but nothing measurable. By this point of the point we average over 3" of snowfall so we now have a snow deficit in December of 3.3".

In fact, most of the state of Wisconsin hasn't seen much snow with only an inch or two reported on the ground in northern Wisconsin.

If you're a snow lover, unfortunately I don't have great news. There's no chance for any snow (or even rain) over the next three days and only one chance for precipitation in the 7-day forecast for a few light rain showers Friday afternoon and evening. Even looking long term there are no big storm systems currently on the weather models until after Christmas.
