TOWN OF EAGLE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Waukesha County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a crash near E. Main St. and Elkhorn Rd. around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. 

According to the WCSO, a 26-year-old Waukesha man driving a Ford F-250 crossed the center line just north of E. Main St. and struck a Subaru Outback traveling southbound. The 39-year-old Waukesha woman was the sole occupant in the vehicle and was pronounced dead on scene. The man was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. 

WCSO continues to investigate the cause of the crash. The name of the deceased is being withheld due to pending notification of family.
