UNION GROVE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Memorial Day services continue this weekend, honoring service members who died serving this country.
Earlier Sunday, May 24, people gathered at the southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Union Grove.
The theme for this year's ceremony is 'Wisconsin Was There.'
CBS 58 heard from one army vet who comes from a very long line of service members.
"I had ancestors who fought in the revolutionary war, every war this country had, and I had ancestors that fought both sides of the civil war. So, it means a lot because of all my ancestors," said U.S. Army Veteran John Gilless.
Gilless also told us he's glad to have ceremonies before Memorial Day itself, so people can be present and thoughtful.
