MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a two-vehicle serious injury accident that took place Tuesday, Oct. 5.

Police say around 7:04 p.m., a driver suffered a medical episode while heading eastbound on Keefe Avenue. 

The driver struck a vehicle near Keefe and Richard Street, and that vehicle continued eastbound, striking a light pole at the intersection of Holton and Keefe.

After striking the light pole, police say the vehicle continued eastbound where it struck a tree. 

Both the driver and passenger of the striking vehicle were transported by North Shore Fire Department personnel to a local hospital.

The driver is listed in critical condition and the passenger is said to be in stable condition.

The occupant of the other vehicle did not report any injuries.
