SHOREWOOD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police are investigating a possible attempted assault that occurred near Edgewood and Maryland Avenue Thursday, Jan. 23.

Authorities say a female victim was walking southbound on the west side of Maryland around 2:15 p.m. when she was grabbed around the waist from behind by an unknown male. She screamed and the male let go of her. 

The suspect is described as a white male, between 20-40 years old, wearing a black jacket and black running shoes.
