Putting some snow on top of the cold

Our Wind Chill Advisory hangs on until noon today.  Looks for -20 to -25 wind chill readings this morning so continue to limit your time outside by 10 to 15 minutes if you can.  Remember you can get frostbite in less than 30 minutes in these conditions.

Then we eventually shift our focus on some light snow coming for Thursday.  Our best opportunity comes between 10am and 7pm with a quick moving system.  Several inches could fall. The evening commute could be slick with the light snow falling.  Black ice is a concern.

As we head into the weekend, there is a chance for some light snow during the day on Friday.  However, some computer models have the snow staying south.  Stay tuned.  There's also the chance for lake effect snow Saturday and Sunday, mainly lakeside.  But the big story will be the reinforcement of cold air.  Highs into the New Year only in the teens with subzero numbers at night.  Stay warm and bundle up.
