Quiet today and tomorrow, but a rain/snow mix returns tomorrow night

Clear skies and calm winds have allowed temperatures to drop into the teens in many locations this morning, while Milwaukee is in the 20s. This is around 15-25° colder than this time yesterday morning.

We’ll have a few passing clouds from time to time today, but we’ll remain dry. Dry weather will continue through the day on Friday, but clouds will be on the increase ahead of our next chance of precipitation.

A mix of rain and wet snow moves in between 10pm-12am Friday night. Temperatures will likely be above freezing as the precip moves in, but temps north of Milwaukee are expected to cool to the freezing mark as the rain/snow mix begins. The rain/wet snow will continue through the night, but will come to an end before sunrise on Saturday. Most of southeast Wisconsin will end up with under an inch of slush, with areas northwest of Milwaukee having the best chance at an inch.

Roads may be a bit slippery overnight through sunrise Saturday, but temps will quickly warm above well above freezing so any snow that's able to accumulate on roads will melt by mid morning.
