Comedy Tonight

Need a good laugh after a long week? How about some tips to spruce up your home once spring finally arrives? We bring you all that and much more on this week’s Racine & Me.

The crew from ComedySportz gives us a sneak peek at their upcoming show in Racine. Two of the “actletes” explain how they got their start in improv comedy, what you can expect when you sit down for a comedic match, and why the audience plays a key role.

ComedySportz Improv

CBS 58 Morning News anchor Jessica Tighe joins the ComedySportz team for an improv match in the studio! See what the group comes up with for the surprise theme: Getting Hitched At Miller Park. This “story” match is just one example of what you'll see at Comedy Tonight at the Racine Theatre Guild on Saturday, March 16th.

Home & Garden Show + Chocolate Extravaganza

Two shows in one day! Burlington High School will be packed on Saturday, March 16th for the Home & Garden Show and Chocolate Extravaganza.

Two ladies who helped organize the events give us a preview. Learn about hip and healthy houseplants, how to make your patio pop for spring, and some fun activities for the kids.

Then hear from a woman who knows what the judges want when it comes to a chocolate masterpiece. One of the big draws at Chocolate Extravaganza is the bake-off. See some of the yummy creations, learn about the different categories you can compete in, and find out how the judges grade each entry.

Take A Taste Out Of Crime

We all want to live in safe neighborhoods and that’s one of the main goals of Racine Neighborhood Watch. The group has an important fundraiser coming up on Friday, March 29th at Roma Lodge in Racine. It’s the 8th annual Take A Taste Out Of Crime. The directors detail the night on tap and explain how the non-profit uses the money raised. They also discuss why neighborhood watch programs work.
