Mobile Market Now Stops in Racine
It’s a grocery store on wheels! The Fresh Picks Mobile Market just made its first stop in Racine and more stops are planned soon. The Executive Director of Hunger Task Force, Sherrie Tussler, explains how the mobile market works, who can use it, and why HTF picked Racine as the next priority in southeastern Wisconsin.
BlankFest Wisconsin: Spring Edition
BlankFest Wisconsin returns to Racine sooner the usual. The music festival to benefit the homeless is typically in the winter. Now organizers are putting on a spring edition. They explain why they added a second round, who’s on tap to rock out, and what donations they’re collecting this time.
“For Sale” Premiere
A short film shot entirely in Racine is set to debut Saturday, May 4th at The Square. “For Sale” focuses on a man wandering the streets until he stumbles upon what seems to be an abandoned tavern. The door opens for him and his life is forever changed. The director, Ron Purtee of Racine, gives us a sneak peek of the film and shares how he caught the directing bug.
Be A Hero For Kids
Miss Racine, Ashely Monti, invites you to be a hero for kids. That’s the theme of her fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. It’s Saturday, May 11th at the River Bend Nature Center in Racine. The fun starts at 11AM and goes until 1PM. Ashely tells us how she picked the theme for the fundraiser and what she sees while visiting CMN Hospitals. We also explore the journey that led her to become a grief facilitator.
