RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- Get ready to experience an afternoon of captivating chamber music as Trio de Chats Noirs takes the stage at Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church!

Cari Greving, the Executive Director of Visit Racine County joined us in studio to talk about this event and much more for our Community Calendar of the week. 

Trio de Chats Noirs takes the stage on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at 4:00 PM. This dynamic ensemble—featuring Rachel Velvikis (horn), Mark Fry (bass trombone/euphonium), and guest pianist Christopher Powell—brings an exciting program that blends classical elegance with jazz-inspired charm.  Works by Bach, Brahms, Shostakovich, Gershwin and others.

Shamrocks & Shenanigans Fest!

When: Saturday, March 15th, 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Where: Festival Hall, 5 5th Street, Downtown Racine (Parking in the lot or Civic Center Ramp, with additional options nearby)

Music by: Celtic Gypsies (During Tasting only) followed by the World Renowned Irish Band “Reilly”
Mischief & Merriment Await!
Challenge your taste buds: Explore Irish whiskeys, beers, and Lake Effect Vodka concoctions (separate admission required). Live music all day: Racine’s Celtic Gypsies and headlined the WAMI Award-winning Reilly will keep the party going! Shenanigans aplenty: Watch out for mischievous leprechauns adding a dash of magic to the festivities! Delicious eats: Savor specially crafted St. Patrick’s Day treats and classic Irish fare. Don your green and join the merriment!

Proceeds to benefit the RAC’s ArtSeed Grant Program, which has awarded over $120,000 in funds to support and grow the arts in Racine County.

Strike Out Big for Youth Bowling Fundraiser

City of Racine Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services (PRCS) will host its annual bowling event to raise funds in support of youth activities. Join us at Castle Lanes (5615 Castle Court) on Sunday, March 23, 2025. Check in begins at 12pm, with bowling underway at 1pm. This is a family friendly event for all ages!
Space is available for 24 teams of 5 bowlers to a lane. $20 per person covers 3 games, shoe rental and an event t-shirt. Raffles and prizes are available too!
