RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- Members of the Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin joined us to talk about an upcoming Veteran Art Fair.
The event will bring awareness to Veteran mental health issues and suicide prevention. It is happening at the Racine Festival Hall from 9 AM to 5 PM on September 9th and 10th.
Individuals wanting to be vendors should contact Kerry Milkie at [email protected] or by calling 262-221-8350.
The vendor spots are free, admission is also free.
They are currently seeking additional vendors for the event.
This event will highlight Veterans art and creativity.
The Feast of Crispian: Shakespeare with Veterans will be performing.
The idea of this program through UW - Milwaukee, is to turn veterans into thespians.
The arts assist veterans in expression of feelings and coping with stress and anxiety. Steggy’s artwork will be for sale with proceeds going to Sierra Delta (military service dog program).
Activities for individuals and families and mental health resources will be available at the event.
