RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Racine Zoo is hosting several winter events and offering camp registration for families looking for activities during the colder months.
Beth Heidorn, executive director of Racine Zoo, joined us Monday, Dec. 29 to chat upcoming events.
The zoo will offer "Winter Picnics in a Snow Globe" on select Saturdays and Sundays from Dec. 20 through Feb. 1, featuring 90-minute time slots in heated domes for up to eight people. The private experiences include food, drinks and an animal encounter.
The "Brrr Garden" event will take place Saturday, Jan. 17 from noon to 2 p.m. with craft beers, food and views of Lake Michigan by fire pits at the Safari Base Camp Pavilion. Tickets include a souvenir beer glass and zoo admission.
"Animal Amore" will be held Saturday, Feb. 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. The adults-only event includes champagne, open bar, dinner and a presentation on wild animal love. Tickets are $120 per couple or $70 for one adult.
The zoo also offers various camp programs including Schools Out Day Camp, Spring Break Camp and Summer Day Camp. Additional information is available by clicking here.
