Rain has been persistent almost all year long and July has been no different. The month is currently sitting at a little over 2" of rainfall which is about 0.30" above average by this point of the month. For the summer months since June 1st we are over a half inch above average but for the entire year our precipitation surplus is at almost seven and a half inches.
The 26.79" of precipitation we've had in 2024, which includes rainfall and the liquid equivalent of snow in winter, is good enough to the be the 4th wettest start to the year on record from January 1st until July 16th.
The next week ahead looks pretty dry for most of southeast Wisconsin. There's currently a low chance for some showers or storms on Sunday, but otherwise there are no other rain chances. Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather app to track any rain.
